Accent XL: Smoother, Tighter Skin

Made and manufactured by Alma Lasers of Caesarea, Israel, the Accent XL is a radiofrequency device designed for tightening skin, reducing the appearance of cellulite, and causing some reduction in the fat on the body, improving its contour.

It is a totally non-invasive treatment, meaning that the skin is not cut for the treatment to be performed. By stimulating the body’s natural production of collagen in response to the treatment’s energy, the skin looks fuller and plumper, with unwanted lines smoothed and improvement in body contour.

How it Works

Radiofrequency energy targets fat cells in the skin, which generally reside around 20mm, or .75 inches from the skin’s surface. Fat fluid is then absorbed by the body and removed in urine. The skin is tighter and the body is left looking slimmer. The Accent XL device has been approved by the FDA in the US.

What Accent XL Treats

The Accent XL device may be used to treat areas of the body a patient wishes to see smoother and more toned. These can include the neck and face, the belly, underarms, butt, thighs and chest. Wrinkles and fine lines, loose skin, jowls, fat and in some cases cellulite may see some improvement with the Accent XL treatment. It’s important to discuss your expectations with your physician prior to treatment. No device is a cure-all and nothing can replace a healthy lifestyle.

The Treatment

A treatment with Accent XL may last approximately half an hour, and is generally painless. The session involves the use of two hand pieces which are passed over the area of the body you are looking to improve. The skin may feel some warm sensation, but the Accent utilizes a cooling technique to minimize any pain.

Accent XL Cost

The cost of any procedure can vary based on a variety of things and its important to discuss cost and your budget upfront during your consultation with your physician. The cost for Accent XL may range dramatically, but a general estimate is anywhere from $2,000 and $6,000.

Results

Alma claims that the results of Accent XL are immediate, however for best results 3 to 6 treatments may be needed spaced out over 2 week intervals. Maintenance treatments may be needed to keep the results.
