Choosing a Doctor for Body Contouring

  • No Bargains in Body Contouring
  • Don’t “Price-Shop”
  • Risk of Complications
  • No Bargains in Body Contouring

When you are thinking about having any cosmetic procedure performed on your body, whether it’s a non-invasive procedure, a minimally-invasive procedure like laser liposuction, or surgery, the single biggest consideration is who your surgeon will be. Going to a highly-trained and experienced physician who is aware of the various techniques and devices available will give you your best hope of achieving the results you desire. It is quite common to see patients who have gone looking for a ‘good deal’ in body contouring, only to be let down, have complications or worse.

    Don’t “Price-Shop”

‘Price shopping’ for cosmetic surgery is never a wise decision. I would really strongly advise against price shopping for body contouring. You are not paying just for the procedure, ultimately you are paying for the skill of the surgeon performing it and that is truly priceless. You cannot put a price tag on an experienced surgeon. This is because if anything were to go wrong – and it can happen even in the best of hands, a highly experienced surgeon may know how to take care of you. Every physician performing these procedures has seen complications, if you perform enough of them, eventually you will see complications. If you are in experienced hands, you will have a better chance of having them handled properly.

    Risk of Complications

Experienced physicians in this field have all seen patients come in who have had these complications as a result of poor treatment from inexperienced practitioners. I see them in my office all the time and it’s sad. People who have received scars permanently or other problems. We do our best to treat these patients and heal their issues, but unfortunately sometimes we can only improve it up to a point.
