Liposonix, which is now a part of Solta Medical, is a high-intensity ultrasound device designed to improve the body contour and remove unwanted localized fat pockets from the body. The second generation Liposonix system specifically indicated for waist circumference reduction is FDA-approved and is available for treatment in the USA
Liposonix uses ultrasound waves which target the fat tissues underneath the surface of the skin for liquefaction and removal through the body’s lymphatic system. This leaves the body more toned with improved contour. European research reports reduction in circumference of 2 to 3 inches.
As these new technologies develop further, they will come on the market and more information will be made available. Stay tuned.
