Body contouring in Yonkers

Founded in 1646 by Dutch nobleman Adriaen Van der Donck, Yonkers is now the 4th most populated city in the state of New York.

An interesting fact is that Edwin H. Armstrong from Yonkers invented the FM radio broadcasting back in 1912. You can still see the radio tower built by Armstrong atop the Palisades, west of Yonkers.

Art lovers will want to visit the Philipse Manor art and history museum. Built around 1682, the hall is one of the region’s oldest buildings with Georgian interiors, a Rococo papier-mache ceiling (from the 1750s) and a Gothic Revival room (from the 1860s).

Some more landmarks include the Hudson River Museum, the Sherwood House, the Cross County Shopping Center, the Yonkers Hudson Riverfest, the Untermyer Performing Arts Festival, the Yonkers Philharmonic Orchestra and the Yonkers Male Glee Club.

The Irish-American community in Yonkers organizes one of the oldest St. Patrick's Day parades in the country. Also, you may also want to go to the popular Italian-American Columbus Day festival with a Miss Italian-American beauty contest.

If you want to go shopping during your laser body contouring trip to Yonkers, you’ll find many cool shopping areas along Central Park Avenue, also called "Central Ave" by locals.

As you may already know, body contouring is fast becoming one of the most popular aesthetic procedures in the US. The new laser body contouring technique uses small laser fiber to melt the fat cells and tighten skin.

Depending on the areas treated, expect at least 10 treatment sessions in any one major area (across your buttocks, thighs etc). visits may vary between 30 to 40 minutes and cannot be no closer than 48 hours, but you may schedule as many as 3 per week. Usually, you will have visible results from the very first treatment.

Next, the procedure is somewhat messy because of the ultrasound gel applied on your skin to make the paddles glide. The gel is wiped-off at the end of the session, but it can make your clothes a bit messy. It’s recommended that you bring with you some spare clothes, so you can change after the treatment.

The major difference between laser and traditional liposuction is that the new laser body contouring technology melts fat and tightens the skin in a far less invasive way than traditional liposuction does.

While you’re having your laser body contouring treatment in Yonkers, enjoy the city and explore as many places as possible.
