Reshape those curves
VASER Shape is an FDA-approved, non-invasive treatment that uses a combination of ultrasound and mechanical massage to smooth, firm, and re-contour areas of the body troubled by small, unwanted pockets of fat or cellulite dimpling.
Many different areas can be improved with this technology, such as the abdomen (including “love handles”), thighs, buttocks, hips, back, and arms. VASER Shape is also used after liposuction treatments to speed healing and enhance the final results.
How Does VASER Shape Work?
To reshape an area of the body, VASER Shape uses a two-step process. First, it targets the treatment area with high-frequency (1MHz) sound waves, which stimulates fat cells to release stored fat located just under the skin’s surface. It does this without harming any of the surrounding skin, nerves, or blood vessels.
Then VASER Shape massages the treatment area, causing the loosened fat to drain into the lymph nodes, where the fat is removed naturally from the body. This part of the process also increases blood circulation to the area.
What Is the VASER Shape Procedure Like?
The procedure is usually performed in a physician’s office or clinic, either by a physician or by another trained practitioner under a physician’s supervision. You’ll need no anesthetic, for the treatment is essentially pain-free.
The ultrasound energy is delivered through a dual-head transducer device. Your skin will feel warm as the device is rolled gently over the treatment area. The second part of the treatment—the mechanical massage—is done with a special “zonal” massage device. Many patients say this part of the procedure is similar to a deep-tissue massage.
The entire VASER Shape procedure will take 30 to 60 minutes, depending on how many areas of the body you’re having treated. You can return to your normal daily activities immediately.
What About Side Effects
VASER Shape treatments typically leave the skin looking pink and feeling slightly warm to the touch (from the increase in blood circulation). Both of those very minor side effects last only a few hours.

When Can I Expect Results?
You may notice some results—particularly a tightening of the skin—immediately after your first treatment. But visible results typically require more than one treatment. On average, 3 to 5 treatments, spread over a similar number of weeks, are needed to attain the best results.
Your physician will recommend a treatment regimen for you after examining your body’s fat deposits and talking with you about your expectations for the treatment.
